Mike MacLean writes about very bad people doing very bad things. 


His white-knuckle crime fiction has bloodied the pages of The Best American Mystery Stories, Thuglit: Hardcore Hardboiled, The Deadly Bride, and Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine.  Recently, Mike has written three screenplays for independent film legend Roger Corman.


A teacher of America's youth, Mike was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona, a city just a few degrees cooler than hell.  He still lives there today with the world's best wife, his beautiful baby daughter, and two lazy dogs.  When not teaching or writing, Mike practices Ja-Shin-Do and watches way too many violent movies.
